Comte, Blavatsky, Bailey, Crowley, Marx, Wells et al spoke of the Hierarchs or the Party or the “enlightened ones” – die eigene – who could dance with the devil as Mick Jagger, a useful tool of those fashioning the World Security state sang in “Dancing with Mr. D.” As the maneuvers and emplacement of the World Council of the World Religion and its geo-political end game becomes more overt, the hierarchs increasingly need to keep the masses distracted and sad. To do this, more and more people are driven for solace to sports which become increasingly degraded into the cult of goddess rapture and the general loss of norms, standards and skills that pervades culture, distinguishing our twilight times. The trap has been pre-set and is being sprung. Though we will speak mainly of Baseball, it is in Basketball that the links between loss of norms and skill, finance and distraction are most extreme. During the 1970s, as part of the cresting wave assaulting established cultural norms, respect for tradition and memory, and in pursuit of “sport-as-highlight clip,” a de-contextualized intense moment of sensory impact (what Wm Blake called the orgasmic, “moment of desire”), NBA basketball began doing away with the rules that required high degrees of skill, for example dribbling only with the fingers, not carrying or palming the ball and freedom to take only one step after stopping one’s dribble. It’s been twenty-plus years since these skill and respect-building rules were enforced. During the same period, the “three point basket” from twenty-five feet was added to juice up “the numbers,” create a larger smorgasbord of options and, supposedly, higher scores.
All these changes resulted in enormous loss of skill, lower not higher point totals and a static not vital game; similar to the ways that an academic monoculture or global state is less honest, safe, productive and humane than a heterogenous world of mutual respect for difference. But these symptoms are neither the most vivid nor important aspects of the cultural issues embedded here. Few pro players today can dribble without palming or carrying the ball, all of them “travel” (take more than one step) after stopping their dribble and their shooting accuracy which should at least stay constant with previous decades steadily declines as does “free throw” shooting which physically is independent of the other changes, — but not of the general loss of discipline and respect, the lost ability to focus; the obscenely inflated salaries. Some of these changes derive from educational-political issues, some from financial-economic ones. They are interrelated and sometimes most vivid where one might least expect, – in sports.
The lords and ladies of the media who serve the hierarchs busy scrambling all of us into the new world omelet have succeeded in producing a “sport” that produces montages of tattooed hoodlums “jamming it through the hole” as sport-casters of all genders smirkingly note. The montage or assemblage of disjunctive visual units (for the game has no flow anymore) typifies post-Modernism in all its facets. It is the ideology of the end because it is primarily a mocking critique of the very idea of integral identity, tradition, the existence of truth and the ability to approach it through study, reason, discipline and skill. Everything, from gender, to nationhood, to sport is a social construct, the determined determinists of post-Modernism (who claim to be relativists) tell us; all is pastiche: consider modern architecture, our society’s signature. Post-Modern dogma’s main purpose is destruction, a process at which it excels: fragment, federate, internationalize into a “world community” that is a contradiction in terms. This cult is the essence of decay and stems largely from Machiavelli and his exaltation of appearances, perception and manipulation as the means of governance.
Speaking of post-modern distractions, now we have endless political campaigns whose vulgar partisanship is directly proportionate to their lack of substance. But back to sport per se…
Anyone who has watched NBA ‘sport’ during the past twenty years, especially in the era of “the Road Map” to the final solution and World State has noted that the behavior and appearance of the athletes has become increasingly sociopathic: in a big time distraction, the regulars make $18-25 million/year on multi-year deals. Those who run drug and prostitution rackets certainly appreciate this investment, as do all who cater to the “high-end” clientele, and the spectacle corrupts youth, too, like the burgeoning promotion of poker tournaments, wrestling “smack-downs” and glossy magazines selling the bruised and ratty look “life-style” that more and more openly appears cadaverish.
Speaking of investments and turning to the most graceful and beautiful of sports, baseball one sees that those running the game down are fervently engaged in the global agenda. In recent years it has become a ‘tradition’ for two teams to travel to Japan to start their season before the other teams in early April. What the heck – it’s only 13,000 miles and the players are physically wrecked when they fly back to begin the season, especially if they’re east coast teams. Yes, yes, most of them get obscenely high salaries (more on that in a moment and, hey – it’s entertainment) but they’re human and are paid to play a beautiful sport at a very high level; that’s why so many of us watch them and get sucked into the distraction – alienation machine of “global solutions” to the human problem.
For months the media’s been churning out talk about the Boston Red Sox beginning the 2008 season in Japan or China! The sport-entertainment-financial-political potentates tell us how “great this will be for the game” and that “the plan is still being studied.” How great to open up those markets, especially China to hundreds of millions worth of team collectibles: tee shirts, caps, ponchos, ‘bean-bag buddies’ and above all, bobble heads, most of them made right there in China itself! And on their return, the container ships can carry toxic food, weapons and drugs to maximize investor return.
Hey, they’re big markets: we send the Chinese, by hook or by crook, missile, satellite and agricultural technology and they send us toxic fish and toys and threats to nuke Taiwan or us. But they’re entitled: we never gave them the Long Beach port and free trade zone in California that was Clinton’s precursor to Dubya’s Dubai-England ports deal. Now they’ll have to get in via Mexico or Prince Rupert Sound in Canada. (Check the self-promoting globalist video by Canadian National Railroad).
During the 2006-07 off season (unlike political campaigns baseball still has an off-season though it gets more complex and expensive every year) the ‘smart talk’ leaking into the media and from it to us field beasts was that the Red Sox and Yankees were intensively competing for the top Japanese pitchers. Eventually, the Red Sox, now owned by a super rich commodities trader paid $52 million to a Japanese team for the right to negotiate with one of their pitchers and his agents. After a few weeks of intensely reported and discussed distraction, the Sox duly paid an additional $51 million to the pitcher. Hey: it’s only money. The Red Sox found it essential to pay $103 million to various Japanese interests and individuals for a pitcher although even by today’s ‘standards’ they could have found an excellent American pitcher for less than half as much. Now the market for Sox items in Japan is enormous as is, more significantly the Japanese media presence at every Red Sox game and throughout New England. Dunkin’ Donut ads occasionally are given in Japanese, great! Thanks to progressive schooling there are millions of reading- and-learning impaired students, many being profitably medicated, who now are deluged with signage and collectibles in Japanese script. Semi-literate announcers greet American tube watchers with Japanese and Spanish phrases. Groovy-san, amigos…
Spanglanese spoken here: what, you say the kids can’t read!?! Aren’t they reading Global Citizen magazine? [see www.una-usa.org]
But this is NOT mainly about money. File this under Trilateralist approaches to the World State, stupefaction, managed conflict and scrambling of all sovereign eggs. Did we mention that the New York Times owns the Boston Globe which owns a significant share of the Red Sox which owns NESN (New England Sports Network) which is increasingly an advert for the globalist-feminist Boston Globe? The Sox and Yankees see fit to post on their giant scoreboards that their rosters are half filled by players born in other nations. In time we will get the point… when the shake-down’s done.
A charming enhancement of NESN’s offerings this year (in addition to still more female sport casters; the dynamic and tone approaches that of FOX ‘news’) features a sit com titled, “Sox Appeal” whose logo is a baseball with the pink impress of a kiss on it. The ‘plot’ is that dumb guys (officially there are no other kinds below the level of the hierarchs) try to impress some professional woman with their “appeal.” They film the spectacle at the park during games; the commentators discuss the ‘progress.’ Maybe the goddess will favor the nerd with a date. This is the future of baseball: East Asia and the Dominican, unaffordable seats, marketing in foreign languages (if this phrase still has any meaning), female announcers and dating shows. This year on Mother’s Day the Red Sox used pink bats; next year pink uniforms. After that, pink skirts and affirmative action rosters; then the end of the end game and no more sports except for pan-gender kick-boxing and public hangings of those who fail to serve “the greater Being” being concocted by M. Gorbachev and associates. During the hangings madame duh sociologist will analyze the body languages of the “predators” as they convulse while prosecutorial jackals shriek about their crimes; Heraldo will ‘moderate’ with Willy McPilon.
We mentioned sadness early on as a condition driving more and more people to the solace of sports, especially the grace and lucidity of baseball. But why, aside from the above global trends, are people sad; or rather, what institutions and policies produce the sorrows that conduce toward distraction while our tax-masters scramble the nations into their World State? In brief, the corporate-financial titans that run foundations that buy and corrupt academics and create ‘disciplines’ like sociology and psychology (a major growth industry) that churn out new terms of art and syndromes for lawyers to cite, make policies that destroy families via promoting feminism, sexual ‘experimentation,’ and the ensuing loneliness, bereavement, violence and disease (to be handled by the disease-management cartel). Many of us sense, some understand and try in various ways to halt the avalanche; while this is good for the soul the social results remain slim. The pyramid already is largely in place, upon us. This is what comes of preferring the model of Egypt to that of Israel.
Israel defended, and is meant to defend itself by a national host; our National Guard is modeled on it. Would the National Guard serve the people and neighbors rather than Washington? Open borders and giving “citizenship” to “anyone who will serve the State” won’t help sovereignty and decency survive.
Thus, many are sad and seek, if not to escape, a brief respite and affordable mini-vacation in baseball. But like everything else it becomes part of the process of distraction, degradation, alienation and enslavement. One shares the positive aspects with one’s children, but that won’t halt the engineered slide toward a world state designed for pod people and maximally fluid movement of “labor resources” in a borderless world.
